Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour
April 29, 2013
Hello!
Today is my day on the Quiltmakers 100 Blocks Blog Tour and I'm excited to again be included in another great 100 blocks issue!
My block is a scrappy, lively block called Paris Square. It's a great block for scraps. For this block the scrappier the better!
This issue has a great designer gallery full of quilts and table runners using some of the blocks in volume 7. Below is my Paris Square quilt. I used different lines from Art Gallery Fabrics for my block and the quilt. I quilted it with a large chevron pattern and love how bright and springy the quilt looks.
Here is the block set on-point with sashing. I've been gathering my scraps and have this one on my to-do list.
Part of the blog tour fun is I've got 2 issues of 100 blocks Vol. 7 to giveaway. Just leave a comment before 11:00 PM (CST) on Thursday, May 2nd and you'll be entered. You can also like the Harding Hill Designs facebook page for a second entry, or leave a comment on facebook if you've already "liked" our page. You can leave anything you'd like in the comments. If you're not sure what to write in the comments you could tell us when you started quilting or what are you working on right now? What is your all-time favorite fabric collection or what is your favorite color to use in your quilts? You can tell us anything! :-)
Happy Quilting!
I love your block, scrappy is always so wonderful with all of the colors and textures. Thanks.

Really nice "scrap" block! There are so many beautiful fabrics available now, it seems a shame not to use as many of them as I can!

I love scrap blocks and scrap quilting. The more variety of fabric the better. One can never collect to much fabric and then find that scrap block that use them.

What a great block! I'm making a baby quilt at the moment but next up is a quilt for my niece's wedding and your block would be perfect!

Your Paris Square Block is just the way to go to use up your scraps. I really like this block and can't wait to hopefully win a copy of QM 100 Blocks, Volume 7 to start quilting. Right now I am working on a Bow Tie Quilt and really need a scrapbusting project to work on next. This would be the answer. Thank you for the chance to win.

Very nice block- My favorite fabric line - I am not sure how to pick one- I love working with batiks- and some of the kaffe Fassett classic lines as a chorus of other fabrics- They always brighten my day.

My favorite color to use in a quilt is red! I put red in every quilt I make, I think! I also like to use touches of black because it just makes those colors POP!! I made my first "real" quilt out of old bluejeans when I was 22 and sent in a picture to Mother Earth News. They posted a picture of it in their magazine!! I was thrilled to death!! That has been many, many moons ago now!!
