Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Blog Tour

Hello!

Today is my day on the Quiltmakers 100 Blocks Blog Tour and I'm excited to again be included in another great 100 blocks issue!

QMMS-130033-cover_200

My block is a scrappy, lively block called Paris Square. It's a great block for scraps. For this block the scrappier the better!

This issue has a great designer gallery full of quilts and table runners using some of the blocks in volume 7. Below is my Paris Square quilt. I used different lines from Art Gallery Fabrics for my block and the quilt. I quilted it with a large chevron pattern and love how bright and springy the quilt looks.

Here is the block set on-point with sashing. I've been gathering my scraps and have this one on my to-do list.

Paris square could sure use up a lot of my 2" squares I've accumulated over the years.

I began quilting in the 60's with 2 colored quilts and embroidered quilts. Now I love the scrappy look. Your block is one I must do.

Shawn

Thanks for the chance to win

Lorri

Nice pattern to use lots of scraps-thank you

Pretty block. I really love the quilt on point using the bright fabrics at the bottom.

I've only been quilting about 3 yrs now but the first two were spent reading and trying to learn by reading anything and everything I could online and in books I own, as well as on the blogs I could find. I have to say most of my help in learning was from all the awesome bloggers who so freely give tutorials and great info on their blogs.

I started quilting about 6 months ago, and am hooked. So far I've made wall hangings for family members.

I love all kinds of fabrics, but my current favorite line is Moda's Indigo Crossing. It just seems so graphic and yet so classic. Love it!

Ruth Rocker

Congratulations on your block being published. It's definitely a good way to use up scraps (of which I have way too many).

Thanks for a chance to win.

Carol Crisp

What a fun quilt block! I too love blocks that can use up scraps. It goes to show that quilting does not have to be an extremely expensive hobby. There is real charm is using bits and pieces, found here and there. What great memories are contained in those blocks!

My favorite color to quilt with is yellow! It's so bright and cheerful.
